The E. hyemale is a species used in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Horsetail may be used for health conditions including haemoptysis – healing and strengthening lung tissue, cystitis, blood in urine, bed wetting, prostate enlargement, prostatitis, lithiasis, incontinence, connective tissue, prolapse, skin disorders. Hyemale species in particular maybe of great benefit in supporting and strengthening teeth, teeth enamel along with gums.
